Short answer
Cat Ba Town and Ben Beo pier are in the south-east, the national park in the centre, the ferry and cable car piers in the north-west and Gia Luan in the far north.

01Finding your way
- South: Cat Ba Town, the Cat Co coves, Cannon Fort and Ben Beo pier for boats to Lan Ha Bay.
- Centre: The Hung Son valley, Hospital Cave and the national park headquarters with Ngu Lam Peak.
- East: Viet Hai village, reached by boat or on foot, and the islands of Lan Ha Bay.
- North-west: Cai Vieng ferry pier and the Phu Long cable car station, the arrival points from Hai Phong.
- North: Gia Luan pier for the ferry to Tuan Chau in Ha Long.
Some places in the bay, such as Ba Trai Dao or the Dark and Bright Cave, are not pinned because their exact positions vary with the route and tide; your boat crew will take you there.
