Short answer

Best experienced with an overnight stay at the island resort; day visits are possible on some tours. Arrange transfers in advance.

01The island

A beach of coarse sand faces calm water, with karst cliffs behind and simple wooden bungalows along the shore. Kayaks, swimming and doing nothing are the main activities. In the evening, when day boats have gone, the bay goes silent.

02Staying over

The resort arranges boat transfers from Ben Beo. Rooms are basic to mid-range; electricity, Wi-Fi and hot water can be limited. Bring cash, repellent and a torch. See Bungalows & eco-lodges and Beach & island resorts for similar options.
